An apparent community named Black Lake is sometimes cited as the place for the shootout that killed the legendary bandits Bonnie and Clyde at Driskill Mountain near Sailes, Louisiana on 1934-05-23 . The reference may be near the Black Lake School in Bienville Parish, Louisiana appearing on the National Mapping Information site.
