Bristol Island


Bristol Island (59º02´S 026º31´W) is 8 km (5 mi) long, lying midway between Montagu Island and Thule Island in the South Sandwich Islands. Discovered by a British expedition under James Cook in 1775 and named by him for the title name of the noble family of Hervey.
