Canlaon City is a city located in the province of Negros Oriental, Philippines. It is home to the highest peak in the province, Canlaon Volcano , which is 2,465 meters above sea level at its highest point. The population of Canlaon is 47,000 as of the 2000 census.
Canlaon is the 168 km from the provincial capital Dumaguete. It is bordered on the east by Vallehermoso and on the south by Guihulngan.
