Magdalena of Saxony was born 7 March 1507 and died 25 January 1534. She was the daughter of George the Bearded, Duke of Saxony and his wife Barbara (daughter of Casimir IV and his wife Elizabeth, daughter of Albrecht II of Hungary).
Magdalena was married, at Dresden, on 6 November 1524, to Joachim II Hector, Elector of Brandenburg. Their son was Johann Georg, Elector of Brandenburg. After Magdalena's death, Joachim II Hector married Hedwig, daughter of King Sigmund I of Poland.
